Urushi kintsugi red: Aka & Honsyu – Japanese lacquers – 50 ml

Price

€47.90

Red urushi kintsugi lacquer is central to the Japanese art of ceramic repair. Used according to the kintsugi tradition, it enhances cracks, revealing their beauty rather than concealing them.

The Aka and Honsyu shades offer two complementary shades of red:

Aka, a bright and luminous red, highlights the repair lines with intensity, while Honsyu, a deep and nuanced red, provides a more discreet and harmonious finish.

Thanks to the red urushi kintsugi lacquer , every repair becomes an aesthetic gesture, balancing contrast and subtlety. Suitable for both traditional crafts and contemporary creations, it integrates perfectly into an authentic approach to kintsugi.

Urushi conservation tips

To preserve the quality of urushi , it is essential to follow a few simple rules:

  • Cool, dark place : store away from direct sunlight, in a temperate location.

  • Shelf life : approximately 1 year. After this period, the lacquer may change color or viscosity.

  • Refrigeration : To extend storage over several years, place in the refrigerator in a separate airtight container, away from food.

By following these recommendations, you will ensure optimal quality urushi for your future projects.
