Bengara is a traditional Japanese red pigment, used for centuries in the art of urushi lacquer and kintsugi . Made from iron oxide, it is distinguished by its remarkable stability, the depth of its hue, and its excellent compatibility with natural urushi.

Its warm, intense red color allows for a deep and authentic red urushi , particularly suited to kintsugi. It creates an elegant contrast with the gold powder and subtly highlights the repair lines.
