SHIPPING, RETURNS AND PAYMENT

La Fabrique Kintsugi Art — Traditional Kintsugi Shop

We carefully prepare your orders of Japanese Urushi lacquer, metallic powders, tools, materials and traditional kintsugi kits in our workshop in Bordeaux, France.

The delivery times are indicative and run from the date of dispatch, subject to compliance with the cut-off time for submission by our workshop.

1. ORDER PREPARATION

Products in stock are generally prepared within 1 to 3 business days after payment confirmation.

Each order is carefully packaged to protect the materials and fragile items during transit.

Preparation times are in addition to the delivery times indicated below.

2. SHIPPING DESTINATIONS AND DELIVERY TIMES

Mainland France, Monaco and Andorra

Orders are shipped via Colissimo and Mydelivengo (La Poste).

Estimated delivery time: 2 to 3 business days after dispatch.

Depending on the options available at checkout, you can choose home delivery or delivery to a collection point: a post office, a Pickup partner shop, a Pickup parcel locker or a Voisin-Relais (neighbour collection point).

3. SHIPPING COSTS

Free shipping on orders of €50 or more to mainland France, the European Union and Switzerland.

For orders under €50, shipping costs are calculated based on the parcel’s weight, destination and selected delivery method.

The exact shipping cost is displayed in your cart before you confirm your order.

For destinations not covered by this free shipping offer, particularly French overseas territories and other international destinations, shipping costs are calculated based on the destination and parcel weight.

For shipments outside the European Union, particularly to Switzerland, customs duties, import taxes or handling fees may apply. Any such charges are the responsibility of the recipient.

4. PARCEL TRACKING AND DELIVERY

All our orders are shipped with a tracking number, allowing you to track your parcel until delivery.

As soon as your order is dispatched, you will receive a confirmation email containing the information needed to track your parcel.

We recommend checking the condition of your parcel as soon as you receive it.

If your parcel arrives damaged, an item is missing, or you experience a delivery issue, please contact us promptly at info@kintsugi.art, quoting your order number and attaching photographs if necessary.

Uncollected parcels: When a parcel is delivered to a post office, a Pickup partner shop, a Pickup parcel locker or a Voisin-Relais (neighbour collection point), it must be collected within the timeframe specified by the carrier.

After this period, the parcel may be returned to our workshop in Bordeaux. If reshipment is requested, additional shipping fees may apply when the return is the recipient’s responsibility, subject to their statutory rights.

5. RETURNS AND RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL

In accordance with the regulations governing distance selling, consumers have a statutory right to withdraw from their purchase within 14 days of receiving their order, subject to exceptions provided by law.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, simply notify us of your decision by email at info@kintsugi.art, quoting your order number.

After notifying us of your decision to withdraw, you have a further 14 days to return the products concerned.

Items must be carefully packaged to ensure they are protected during transit. They may be inspected in the same way as they would be in a shop. You may be held responsible for any reduction in the value of the products resulting from excessive handling.

Return Shipping Costs

In the event of withdrawal, the customer is responsible for the direct costs of returning the items.

In the event of a defective or non-conforming product, statutory warranty provisions apply. Kintsugi.art will cover the return shipping costs where required by law.

Please contact us before returning any items to help us process your request efficiently.

Your statutory warranty rights remain applicable independently of your right of withdrawal.

6. REFUNDS

When the right of withdrawal is validly exercised, Kintsugi.art will refund the returned products in accordance with the regulations governing distance selling.

The refund includes the cost of the items concerned and the original shipping costs, up to the cost of the least expensive standard delivery option offered at the time of purchase.

Any additional costs resulting from the choice of express or special delivery services are non-refundable.

The refund will be issued within a maximum of 14 days from the date we receive your withdrawal request.

However, we may withhold the refund until we have received the returned products or until you provide proof that they have been shipped back, whichever occurs first.

The refund will be issued using the same payment method used for the original order, unless you expressly agree to another method, at no additional cost to you.

Requests concerning non-conforming products are handled in accordance with applicable statutory warranty provisions.
