Preparation of the final polishing paste (Suri Urushi)


Roiromigakiko powder is an essential ingredient for creating a high-quality polishing paste, used after applying the final coat of lacquer (Suri Urushi). Mixed with a little oil, it produces a smooth, glossy, and long-lasting finish.


Ingredients

  • Roiromigakiko powder: very fine powder obtained from oven-baked deer antler.

  • Rapeseed oil: recommended for preparing the dough.


This preparation is also used in the traditional Roiro process, in order to reveal the full final brilliance of Japanese lacquers.

Use
