This Japanese precision brush is designed for delicate kintsugi, Maki-e and Urushi lacquerwork requiring excellent control and fine, precise application.

Its slender, elongated tip is ideal for applying Urushi along fine repair lines and creating intricate decorative details. The long red handle provides a comfortable, controlled grip for the meticulous movements required in traditional Japanese lacquer techniques.

This brush features a distinctive removable inner section, allowing the fine brush tip to be separated from the outer body. A transparent protective cap helps protect the delicate tip during storage and transport.

Available in two lengths, 18 cm and 20 cm, it allows you to select the size best suited to your working style and precision requirements.

Kintsugi Brush Care and Cleaning

Never wash brushes used with urushi lacquer with water.
New brushes are stiffened with glue: rinse them with warm water before use.
Always clean your brushes immediately after use with turpentine or, ideally, orange peel oil .
Remove the hairspray by gently sliding a spatula or stick from the base to the tip.
Carefully wipe the base of the bristles to remove any residue.

Proper maintenance prolongs the life of your brushes and ensures precise and neat results.
