Wet & Dry Sandpaper – For Kintsugi & Urushi Finishing

Wet & dry sandpaper is used to prepare, refine and smooth surfaces throughout the different stages of traditional kintsugi restoration.

Used with water, it provides fine, controlled and even sanding, making it particularly suitable for working on ceramics, repaired areas and Urushi lacquer layers. The appropriate grit depends on the stage of the restoration, from initial shaping to fine finishing.

Grits #400 to #800
Suitable for shaping and surface preparation. These grits help level filled areas, correct irregularities and smooth repairs before the subsequent stages of kintsugi.

Grit #2000
Designed for very fine sanding and finishing. It is particularly suitable for delicately refining intermediate Urushi layers before the final finishing stages, including Kuro Roiro Urushi applications.
