The absolute intensity of vegetal black.
Kuro Urushi lacquer (黒漆) reflects a thousand-year-old craft where the material interacts with time. Made from the pure sap of the lacquer tree (Urushi), this traditional black lacquer is not the product of a synthetic carbon pigment, but the result of a natural alchemy: the meticulous mixing of raw sap with iron oxides.
By slowly polymerizing in the heart of the muro/Furo (the humidity chamber), it develops a living depth, a jet black that is both dense and subtly vibrant, which develops a patina over the years.
Essential in the art of traditional Kintsugi and art lacquering, it offers a base of exceptional resistance and perfect surface tension for intermediate layers or contrasting finishes.
