White Chawan Shino restored as Kintsugi – Takeharu Kobayashi

This white Shino style Chawan tea bowl , with subtle shades of grey and brown, comes from the Chikurin kiln, in the tradition of Mino ceramics, and bears the signature of the artist Takeharu Kobayashi .

A fracture was restored using the traditional Japanese kintsugi technique, with a gold powder finish, transforming the break line into a luminous and refined element that underlines the unique history of the piece.

The chawan comes with its original tomobako box , signed by the artist and accompanied by its Sakura guarantee of authenticity. It is also presented with a protective Kinsai Tango silk pouch , adorned with floral motifs and handmade.

The interior is lined with pure silk from antique kimonos , to offer delicate and suitable protection for this unique piece.
