Frayed-hair brushes , called ashirai kebo in Japan, are traditional tools used during kintsugi finishing.
They are specially designed to handle gold or silver powder ( keshifun type) and are involved in the final phase, the ua-nuri , where the lacquered surface is sprinkled with metallic powder.
Made from natural bristles, these brushes combine quality and precision, essential for neat finishes.
Available sizes:
Size S (ashirai) : used to collect and apply gold or silver powder
Size M (harai) : designed to remove excess powder from repaired ceramics
