The Japanese precision brush for Kintsugi & Maki-e is designed for delicate Japanese lacquer work requiring finesse and control of movement.

Its fine, elongated tip allows for precise work when applying Urushi and creating decorative details. Its long red handle provides a comfortable grip for the meticulous movements characteristic of traditional Japanese craftsmanship.

This model features a unique design with a removable inner section , allowing the tip to be separated from the outer body of the brush. The transparent cap protects the fine part during storage and transport.

Kintsugi Brush Care and Cleaning

Never wash brushes used with urushi lacquer with water.
New brushes are stiffened with glue: rinse them with warm water before use.
Always clean your brushes immediately after use with turpentine or, ideally, orange peel oil .
Remove the hairspray by gently sliding a spatula or stick from the base to the tip.
Carefully wipe the base of the bristles to remove any residue.

Proper maintenance prolongs the life of your brushes and ensures precise and neat results.
