Brass & Mawata Duo

Lead-free, exceptionally fine gold-plated brass is a metallic powder designed for refined artistic use, particularly in the practice of kintsugi with Keshifun . Its light and homogeneous texture makes it an elegant substitute for gold, offering smooth application and a warm sheen.

Mawata , pure and natural silk from Japan, comes from hand-stretched silk cocoons. Used after the application of finishing powder—whether gold, silver, or metal—it delicately polishes the surface and reveals the full brilliance of the metal , giving kintsugi its final touch of light and softness.

Together, the duo Laiton & Mawata unites the precision of metal with the delicacy of silk , to enhance each repair in the spirit of wabi-sabi.
