White Shino tea bowl, gold kintsugi, Takeharu Kobayashi, Chikurin kiln

This white Shino- style tea bowl (chawan), with its shades of grey and brown, comes from the Chikurin Mino ceramic kiln , crafted by the artist Takeharu Kobayashi. A crack has been revealed with gold powder using the traditional kintsugi technique, transforming the imperfection into a line of light.

Comes with its original tomobako box, signed by the artist (Sakura authenticity guaranteed), and its Kinsai Tango silk protective pouch with floral patterns, lined with pure silk made from antique kimonos.
